Waikiki is an oceanside city that is anchored on one end by the Ala Moana Shopping Center and Beach Park (over 260 shops and restaurants) and on the other end, Diamond Head. Three main streets run parallel to the ocean, they are Kalakaua Avenue, (runs along the beach), Kuhio Avenue (one block back from beach) and the Ala Wai (two blocks back from beach). To walk from Ala Moana Shopping Center to Diamond Head would take you about 1 hour. To walk from the Ala Wai to the beach will take you about five minutes. This hotel is located in the center of Waikiki, five minutes from the beach.
